Underground Drill Operator
Endacom Pty Ltd is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Rock Drill/Jumbo Operator to join its team.
Endacom Pty Ltd provides a wide range of services for large scale infrastructure projects across NSW, including mining and tunnelling, civil and excavation works, and reinforced concrete works.
We are an established market leader in the tunnel and civil construction industry.
Endacom has been selected by Future Generation JV to construct multiple Snowy 2.0 Drill and Blast Tunnelling packages. The project is based in the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
As a Rock Drill/Jumbo Operator, you will play a crucial role in the success of these projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, position, and operate a drilling rig and related equipment in an underground tunnel environment.
- Dismantle, move, and reassemble drilling rigs and accessory plant.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs and lubrication of drilling rigs and assessor plant.
- Prepare tunnel sites by breaking up dirt, rock and other materials, including moving materials and levelling ground as required.
- Positions explosives in bore holes and primes explosives, using detonators and explosive cartridges.
- Connects wires, fuses, and detonating cards to explosives.
- Monitors operation of plant and ensures safety of other workers in tunnels during drilling operations.
- Operates auxiliary plant such as pumps to expel air, water and mud.
- Be punctual and have an excellent attendance record.
Skills and Experience required:
- Must have at least two years of experience in Drilling and Blasting in a Tunnel environment.
- Have a high-level knowledge of safety standards common in the construction industry and adhere to the highest safety standards.
- Must have RII for Blast Hole Drilling
- Must have an Australian Driver’s Licence
- Must be and excellent team player with good communication skills.

Annual salary Range: 200,000 – 270,000, based on applicant’s experience
